Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of DrivingDirectory.co.za (the "Platform"), operated as a directory connecting learner drivers with driving schools across South Africa, and a facilitator for traffic and vehicle service applications. By using the Platform, you agree to these terms.
1. What we are — and what we're not
DrivingDirectory.co.za is a directory and lead-generation platform. We help learners find driving schools and help applicants submit traffic/vehicle service paperwork for processing. We are not a driving school, a government department, the Department of Transport, a DLTC (Driving Licence Testing Centre), or NaTIS. We do not issue licences, registrations, or certificates ourselves.
2. Driving school listings
Driving schools listed on the Platform pay a one-time administration fee to activate their listing and go through a reference-check verification process. A "Verified" badge indicates a school has completed our reference check — it is not a government accreditation and does not guarantee the quality of any specific lesson, instructor, or outcome. We encourage learners to do their own due diligence before booking lessons.
3. Reviews and ratings
Reviews are submitted by platform users and reflect their individual opinions and experiences, not those of DrivingDirectory.co.za. We do not verify the accuracy of every review, but we reserve the right to remove reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, or clearly fake.
4. Traffic and vehicle service applications
When you submit a traffic service application (licence renewal, vehicle registration, or change of ownership) through the Platform, you authorise us to process that application on your behalf, which may include liaising with a DLTC or relevant authority. Processing fees, where applicable, will always be communicated to you before any payment is finalised. Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees, as they depend on third-party government processes outside our control.
5. Payments
Listing fees and service fees are payable via the bank details or payment method provided at the point of purchase. Fees are generally non-refundable once a listing has been activated or an application has been submitted for processing, except where required by law.
6. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, truthful information in any form you submit.
- Do not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or to submit fraudulent documents.
- Keep your account credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DrivingDirectory.co.za is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform, including outcomes of lessons booked with a listed school, or delays in third-party government processing of traffic service applications.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
